BACH began in August, 2004 by Jonathan Doyel to provide home-schooled students an
opportunity to develop their musical skills in a group setting. That first year we
had two bands and a choir. Within a month of opening BACH moved to Pecknel Music
where rehearsals and concerts were held until the Spring of 2007. The BACH Festival
Choir placed third in February 2007 at the Lander University Choral Festival. In
August 2007, Paul Keew became the second director of the BACH program, leading the
Festival Choir to a second place finish at the Bob Jones University High School Festival
choir competition. Fall 2008 saw a new change in structure and leadership as Mr.
Doyel returned to direct the Festival Choir, and Shawntae Weant directed the Cantabile
Choir.
